Is there a processing or consultation fee?
KwikMed does not charge a consultation or processing fee.  Costs associated with having a physician review your medical history and all associated lab processing costs are built into the cost of the lab.  We keep these costs low and pass any savings on to you.

Will insurance cover my order?
We do not accept insurance as payment however your insurance company may reimburse you for the cost of your laboratory test.  Please contact your insurance company directly.  Our Customer Service Department can provide you with CPT codes to facilitate your reimbursement.

I feel healthy, should I still get tested?
Serious medical conditions such as heart disease, prostate cancer, diabetes and others can exist without noticeable symptoms for years.  Early detection is the best defense to prevent the serious long term affects of these diseases.  The results from a simple blood test can increase your chances of discovering and reversing a debilitating disease.  Also, a blood test taken when you are well can establish a baseline of your normal ranges so that your future test results can be compared.

What type of Labs does KwikMed offer?

KwikMed offers the most important lab tests available to provide you with a means to maintain your health.  If there is a specific test you are interested in taking and we do not yet offer it, please contact our Customer Service Department and we will make every effort to add it to our list.

Do I have to see my local doctor of physician to get tested?
No. At KwikMed we are assisting consumers as they take control of their health.  Our fully integrated solution for lab testing allows consumers to order lab tests without the need to see a physician face-to-face.

Should I fast before taking a test?
The e-mail you receive from KwikMed will include instructions describing whether or not you will need to fast before your lab test is performed.

When will I receive the results?
Results are typically available in your KwikMed account 3-5 days after you have visited the LabCorp facility.  Along with easy to read results displayed in your KwikMed account you will have the option to download and print a PDF of the results that you can take to your primary care physician if you desire.

Are my results kept confidential?
KwikMed will not share information with your insurance company or any other third party without your consent.  Only you will receive the results of your lab test unless you specifically direct us to share the results with your local physician or any other third party.

Will I be able to understand the results?

All test results at KwikMed are presented as easy to read graphs that include the normal reference ranges with abnormalities and "outliers" indicated.  KwikMed physicians are available to provide additional insight and recommendation based on your results.

What do abnormal results mean?
Abnormalities should be considered an early warning, but do not necessarily mean you have an illness or disease.  We strongly recommend you discuss your results with a KwikMed physician or your primary healthcare provider for evaluation, further testing and diagnosis.

What if I have questions about my results?
Many questions can be answered by a KwikMed physician.  The physician may provide you with additional information or recommend further testing.  For general questions you may call 877-594-5633 or send an email to service@kwikmed.com.

How reliable are the results?
KwikMed has partnered with LabCorp Corporation to provide leading-edge medical laboratory tests and service.  LabCorp is one of the largest clinical laboratory networks in the world and has been serving physicians and patients for more than 35 years.

What is the return policy?
Lab test orders may be refunded within five days of purchase; any refund is subject to a $25 charge to defer the cost of medical review and processing which begins as soon as your order is submitted.
