Q: Will STAXYN® work faster than LEVITRA®?
A: Both LEVITRA® and STAXYN® should be taken 1 hour (60 minutes) prior to intercourse. Some patients may find that STAXYN® works faster since it is absorbed directly into the body through blood vessels in the tongue rather than the digestive system. This may not be the case with all individuals.
Q: What is the difference between STAXYN® and LEVITRA® if the main ingredient is the same but the pricing is different?
A: STAXYN® is available in a dissolvable 10mg tablet. LEVITRA® is available in a 20mg tablet that is swallowed. Both are taken 60 minutes prior to sexual activity.
Q: Can I take more than one STAXYN® tablet at a time?
A: Yes, if prescribed by the physician to do so. Manufacturer states not to exceed two 10mg tablets in a 24 hour period. Start with one 10mg tablet and if you are not achieving desired result take the second 10mg tablet.
Q: Why can’t tablets be removed from blister cards?
A: While many patients like to store their pills in their own containers, STAXYN® cannot be removed from the blister cards for storage. Since the tablet is quick dissolving, any moisture will immediately cause the medication to start dissolving. Only remove the tablet when you are ready to take the medication.
Q: Will LEVITRA® no longer be available?
A: STAXYN® is being offered alongside of LEVITRA® so you will continue to be able to order LEVITRA® if you would like.
Q: Are the side effects of STAXYN® different than LEVITRA®?
A: The manufacturer’s list of potential side effects for STAXYN® is similar to those listed for LEVITRA®. In most cases, side effects are generally mild. Tell your doctor if you experience any of the following as a result of taking this medication: upset stomach, runny or stuffy nose, any symptoms normally associated with the flu, heartburn, skin flushing or headache. Other less common but severe side effects should be acted upon right away, including vision or hearing disturbances or an erection lasting for more than 4 hours.

Bayer’s newest erectile dysfunction medication is STAXYN® and while it contains the same main ingredient as LEVITRA® (vardenafil), there are slight differences between the two which may make one a better fit for you than the other.
How STAXYN® Works
The dissolvable STAXYN® tablets work by increasing blood flow to the penis which may help men suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED) achieve and maintain an erection. However, if this is the case, the patient will need sexual stimulation in order to achieve the erection. While there is no cure for ED, STAXYN® and LEVITRA® are recognized for helping men to increase their sexual satisfaction by resulting in an erection hard enough for penetrative intercourse.
