Doctors Warn That Natural Impotence Remedy Research is Incomplete at Best

By Emily Murray

We come from a society that tends to preach “natural is better,” but when it comes to dealing with erectile dysfunction is that really the case? While reports tout the benefits of alternative medicine like acupuncture and herbal supplements for impotence treatment, many in the medical profession have stopped to examine these claims a bit more in depth.

According to a recent WebMD article, perhaps unsurprisingly, many of these claims are unfounded or, at the very least, lacking enough research to claim one way or another. There were several doctors quoted in the article essentially saying that just because research was conducted, it doesn’t mean it was good research to begin with, rendering it useless.

Additionally, it’s suggested that if a man believes he has ED, he should consult with a physician before trying to treat his condition himself.

One of the longest standing treatments for male performance issues has got to be acupuncture.

Acupuncture –
While the use of acupuncture for many treatments has been widely accepted in western medicine, the it’s use for impotence treatment still lacks detailed research to confirm that is is indeed effective as many claim.

Herbal Supplements –
This is likely one of the largest claims you will see out there. “Herbal remedy will cure your impotence!” website after website seemingly screens off the page. Truth is, there is really no conclusive evidence of these benefits otherwise clinical trials and other protocols for FDA approval would need to e followed. When something isn’t FDA apporved, there is no telling what’s in it.

Other mentioned in the article include:
Ginkgo Biloba
Horny Goat Weed
Ginseng
Pomegranate Juice

Before ever starting on any sort of treatment program for erectile dysfunction’s its important to receive a proper diagnosis and discuss your options for a doctor.
